Thank you!

Today was a wonderful saturday, at least compared to the other rainy days, we had some mix of grey and blue above our heads. Anyway, I met up with my new friend and I really had a great time. At first, I thought I payed a high price, I had to wait 2h for a bus that never came.. Thankfully she came and fetched me. And it was all forgotten in a glimpse, when we had a nice conversation thru out our ride and later. I was lucky to get treated. These days I seem I can't pay when I meet with a woman. They keep treating me, I don't know how to repay them? I hope my graceful presence is a worthy reward for them.
Well, what actually marked this day was all the things I heard and the new things I learned, I'm still processing them, but it really keeps me buffed at times... I feel much better than before, I wonder what brought this new confidence in my life? Is it fate, as she would say? I don't know, I'll just see how things go, but I'm happy if anything helps me crawl out of my past, out of my mistakes into new, hopefully successful times. A confidence boost from a very intelligent and successful woman like her really means a lot to me. So thanks again, my friend.
Hope this isn't just a dream, that will pass too fast and I'll wake up all sweaty. I want to regain my strength. It's a start.

My Favorite Etailers: Crater Lake Company, Skindazzles, Coconut Hut, Villainess and Wylde Ivy.

I just loooooove Crater Lake Company. I'm so happy she's open again.

Out of all the etailers I order from, Crater Lake Company seems to have the best packaging, most unique scents and flawless formulas.

I used to be hooked on the roll-ons.... I think one time I ordered like 15 at once...

I was sad when she closed, and started hoarding all my Crater Lake Company products. Now that she's open again I can finally use them. I am a little sad that she doesn't have the Butter Cookies scent anymore. That was one of my favorites. And Cola! That was good too.

The thing about Crater Lake Company that's so special is that she has included a hand-written note in every one of my orders... It's refreshing to be seen as a customer, rather than a dollar sign (Isle of Eden, I'm looking at you....) Sharonn is so sweet.

Skindazzles is fantastic too, but the shipping from Canada is a pain. It's not that it's expensive, it's that it takes two agonizing weeks and then the mailman will never leave it at my house. I hate going to the post office. HATE IT! But Skindazzles is worth it. Candy is just the nicest person. She has some awesome scents, and I like the Misfit Tart bags. I love a surprise.

My other favorite is Coconut Hut. I believe I've raved about Coconut Hut plenty of times on here, and my opinion is still the same. Also, if I'm not mistaken, she's the only etailer around with a dupe of Philosophy's Sugar scent, which is one of my all time favorites. It's the same as Sugar Cookie showergel and the Sugar fragrance from the Tea Party set that they used to have.

I would say those are my top three for bath and body stuff.

I love Villainess, but I think I own every single soap and Whipped she makes (all incredible, of course) because the product range is limited. The scents are the most unique scents you will find, and I guarantee that no one else's stuff smells like hers. Shipping is also very fast, and I appreciate that.

I like Wylde Ivy, too. And Skindecent.

This was going to be a post on my least favorite etailers, but I needed some positive thinking today. Maybe I'll do that post later.

So, what are you doing still reading this? Go order some stuff from Crater Lake Company, Skindazzles, Coconut Hut, Villainess and Wylde Ivy!!

Starting over

Hello, fellow readers. I'm back. Oh, you haven't even noticed I've been gone? Of course. Since I've never been a regular blogger... Most of my interesting thoughts come to me before sleep. And they vanish once I wake up. I've never found the time to write them down here. Now I finally have the time. Ok, I'll admit, I don't feel very well, I have an exhausting break up behind me... Just don't know what to do with myself these days. I'm sure I'm not alone in this. The thing is, when I'm happy, in love and I feel my relationship is just perfect, I'm never sympathetic with people who are heart broken, I don't notice them. Now I recognize them, feel the pain with them. And I'm thinking, why must this happen to me again? Ain't I too old for this already? I guess I'm not. I know this happened to millions of people before me and after as well. So, I'll just conclude with a saying: "Some love lasts a lifetime, true love lasts forever." Make sure, yours is the latter.

MAC Heatherette Collection 2008 Rapid Review and Purple Polish Ponderings.

Wow, I'm lame. I got so excited about glitter that I forgot to mention Heatherette!

I got all of it except for the dual-ended pencils. The just didn't really appeal to me at all, and I really hate the Softsparkle pencils they did a while back.

I love this collection. I don't have Trio 2 yet, because MAC sent me two Trio 1s, but I don't mind having a backup. The colors in Trio 1 are perfect. Mood Ring is a blue I can actually wear without making my skin look green. All the colors go together, and they look especially awesome with Pink Pearl pigment.

I should do swatches, but I'm lazy and it's dark in here.

The packaging is amazing. It's so tacky. I love it. Hahahaha. It's really great quality, though, especially compared to that Fafi bullshit. I thought I'd end up with a crooked sticker again, but the Heatherette packaging is rock solid. No stickers. Thanks, MAC!

My nails today are China Glaze Grape Crush. I'm not sure how I feel about it. It's a nice enough color, but it could be more purple. Basically, it looks like purple polish with Wireless topcoat over it. I'm pretty sure this color is discontinued, but it can be easily duplicated.

It's similar to Orly Velvet Rope, but less purple and with holographic glitter instead of silver glitter. It's also a 3-coater. Frustrating.

I had the same manicure for a few days in a row. China Glaze A Rose Among Thorns with really awesome decals I found at Meijer. They have little bats, and skulls and one that says ROCK STAR. I had a skull and crossbones on one hand and a ROCK STAR on the other. It was cute. And no chips or tip wear! I did feel anxious wearing the same color for so long. I added OPI Fireflies on one thumb and Text Me, Text You on the other.

On my toes I'm wearing Essie Wild Thing. Man, what a boring color. I don't know what Essie's problem is. They make the most boring colors. I bought Wild Thing because of the glitter. It's so disappointing. It's a bland metallic nondescript berry shade with a little bit of multi-colored glitter. Looks much cooler in the bottle.

I mainly buy Essie because of the names... Meet Balls, Fondola Gondola.... Downtown Brown.... ( Why yes, I am a fifteen year old boy! ) I have a few that I actually like because of the color. Viva La Vespa, Laced-Up Bootie, A red with no label but quite possibly the most perfect red ever, Aruba Blue, Guchi Muchi Puchi... I think that's about it. I don't know how many shades of streaky sheer pink one person needs, but if you like streaky crappy boring nails, then Essie is the brand for you!

Oh well. Enough yapping for now. Time to go eat leftover Easter eggs. The best ones are the ones where the dye has soaked through the shell. Mmm, chemicals.

I love Chemicals and also The 90's.

As much as I've been so excited and obsessed with all this new nail polish (*cough*Ink*cough), I can't bring myself to use the new ones.

In fact, I've been using the old ones- sometimes really old ones.

I miss my chemicals. A lot. Hear that OPI and China Glaze? I LOVE TOULENE AND DBP!!!!!!!

Today my manicure is a variation on French. Sinful Pearl Harbor (which I somehow ended up with two bottles of...?) with China Glaze DV8 tips. I guess OMG collection is fairly new, but I've had Pearl Harbor for quite some time. My nails look awesome.

Yesterday was Sinful Show Me The Way. I just picked up a ton of Sinful polishes. They were on sale at Meijer for under $2, so I went crazy. I also found these awesome nail decals with little skulls and barbed wire and stuff.

I like Sinful. It's cheap, dries pretty fast, huge range of colors, and it reminds me of grade school. Sure, the bottles were way different, but man they used to be bad ass. I still have a super old bottle of Sinful from the early 90's. It's a pale blue silver color. I'll have to see if I can find it so I can remember the name. Something bean?

I also have an ancient bottle of Pure Ice nail polish. I miss the 90s. I used to love Wet N Wild Black Cherry nail polish. I wonder if they still make it? I also still love Wet n Wild Crystallic Blackest Green. It's over ten years old and still like new. I know for sure they don't make that color anymore. It's similar to Nars Zulu, but with a little frost to it.

Now I'm wishing that I didn't throw out all my ancient nail polish. It was a long time ago- at least five years... But now I want every single thing I threw away. I didn't realize a product like Seche Restore existed.

Among some of the things I threw away were L'Oreal (or was it Maybelline?) Matte finish nail polishes in gem tones. I still have one or two, but I wish I kept them all. That crackle nail polish that I think was Cover Girl. Beautiful By Nature nail polish (Bath and Body Works circa 1998?)... Hmm. This nail polish with music notes on it that was scented. It gave me a migraine. It was orange and smelled like oranges. I had an awesome iridescent Revlon one that I gave to Stefanie. It was blackish greenish purple gold. I miss it.

Tons of Sally Hansen, Wet N Wild, Sinful, Pure Ice, Revlon, Avon... At least Avon still makes most of the same colors.

Oh, the 90s. How I miss you and your horrid Calvin Klein scented masses, your disgusting brown lipstick and your really cool chokers. I miss my cookie dough scented perfume and my silver lipstick and my temporary tattoos.

I'm going to go put on some Sun Moon Stars, try to squeeze into my size 0, 40-inch-wide-leg JNCOs, listen to Bush and pretend like I hate the Spice Girls.

Gavin, Gavin, you hurt your hand.... Let's frolic naked in the sand... As I pat your hurtin' paw, you and I consume coleslaw...

China Glaze Ink Collection 2008

My manicure right now is... China Glaze Flying Dragon!!!!!!

I got my Ink! Yay!!

Let me tell you, I think I've found THE color. Flying Dragon is incredible. I might be wearing this for a long time. The only downsides are formula related- it's thick and goopy, and dries to a weird gritty matte finish. I guess nothing a little topcoat can't fix, but still.

I'm really impressed with the Ink collection, color-wise. They're way more vibrant than they appear in the promotional pictures. Celtic Sun is nearly blinding, it's even brighter than Color Club Yell-Oh.

I do feel a little guilty to have ruined a perfectly good OPI Peel Me a Gobi Grape manicure this morning. It's like Catherine the Grape, but fifty bajillion times better. I was in a glitter mood so I thought I'd make it even better with some Nutcracker Sweet glitter topcoat, and to my dismay that totally ruined it. Oops. But, now I'm wearing more purple, so it's all good. (Did I just say "it's all good"?)

So, Ink. If you like neons (who doesn't?) get them. Half of them are re-releases of the older neons, but the rest are brand new and awesome.

P.S. Clarisonic uber alles.

Eww, Carmindy. Uh, I mean, Carmindy uses ERA Spray Foundation.

Woohoo! Second entry today!

This one's for the googlers.

I was flipping channels while folding laundry (SO glamorous, I know.) and saw Carmindy doing a "makeover."

I am 100% positive that the spray foundation she uses is Classified Cosmetics Era. The silver can is unmistakable. I think Sephora still sells it, I know they used to. So, there you go. Era.

She also had a disgustingly empty compact of MAC Blot Powder. Ewwww. It was all pan with a little product around the edges. Come on, Carmindy, don't you think it's time for a new one?

I was also startled to see her use mascara straight from a gunky-looking tube directly on this lady's lashes. How many other people have used that mascara? Gives me the heebies. You're on TV, at least try to make it look sanitary.

Looked like she was using Sephora Professionel brushes. I saw a Smashbox-looking palette in the background. I love watching makeup stuff and trying to figure out what the products are.

Also: Why is my picture of lipglass in my Tour de Pink traincase so damned interesting? I'm getting tons of hits every day on that thing. It's not like you can make out the individual colors or anything, and you can't even see any detail. It's not that great of a picture. Hmmm... Same with my picture of Midnight Charm on my dresser. What's up with that?

One last comment for the googlers: If you're upset that your Carol's Daughter products are moldy, you should call/write/email Carol's Daughter. Sometimes companied really listen to what customers have to say, and you never know, they might even replace the moldy products for you. But, if your products are moldy DO NOT USE THEM. Common sense.

Finally Foundation Free... And some random nail polish babble.

I have an announcement to make.

For the past week, maybe week and a half, I, Scrangie, have been FOUNDATION-FREE.

I never thought I'd say those words.

I feel weird, having just found my perfect foundation match(es) and the best way to apply it (them; beautyblender)... But I realized, now, I almost look better without it.

I still have a few scars that haven't faded as fast, but a tiny bit of Tarte The Eraser concealer applied very lightly with a damp Beautyblender is all I'm doing to cover them.

I ran out of my favorite DDF Skin Lightener and apparently it's been discontinued, so I picked up Proactiv Skin Lightening cream because it was cheap and readily available...

HOLY CRAP does that stuff smell bad. It's the worst smelling beauty product EVER, and almost the worst smelling substance ever.... It's like dead fish and ammonia and puke and rotting death all in a convenient little tube. It's one of those smells that smells to bad you can taste it, and you can't get the taste out of the back of your mouth and it makes you feel sick all day. Ugh.

Where am I going with this? I don't know. Next subject...

Yes, I am excited for China Glaze Ink too.... But it's not out yet!! I can't wait. I need it now. Any day now... Mmmm..... Purple....

I also got that Dior Poison Blue. Well, it's, uh, blue. Yep. Don't fall for it. It's not even interesting. It's kinda navyish, not really sparkly, looks almost black... Blue Satin is more interesting if you're just itching to drop a lot of cash on a nail polish. My verdict: I hate navy blue. Poison Blue is blah. Zzzzzzzzz <--- Me Snoring.

Currently on my nails is OPI Sugarplum Yum with matching glitter topcoat. I love old OPI, I really do. They apply like a dream and they have normal brushes... *sigh* I miss my chemicals.

My Seche is getting cloudy on my nails again. WTF is up with that?
