The curly haired heart throb youngster from Washington State made it through another round of eliminations.
Sure, Brandon Rogers forgot a few lyrics during his performance, but his talent still outshined that of the soft spoken, shy Sanjaya. Sanjaya is no performer. He may be 'cute' and all, but does he have what it takes to be where he is right now?
Lady Luck has been on the side of this boy from the beginning. His try-outs were stronger than any of his other performances throughout the rest of the competition. He whispers his songs like Michael Jackson speaks, and he moves awkwardly onstage as if he were a sixth grader in a talent show. He exudes no confidence, no stage presence and no pizazz.
I can only conclude that other than the many pre-teen girls who think Sanjaya is just dreamy, the website Vote For The Worst, has done it's job. People really are voting for him because he is the worst.
I feel bad for the kid. He has got to be taking a lot of slack for hanging in. He's compared to every person that is axed before him and has to know that people think he stinks. Still, he gets up there very week and performs terribly again. It has to hurt.
Just how much further will Sanjaya get? I would think next week would be his last. But what do I know? I never would have though he would have made it this far.
