Ex-Spice Girl Mel B Gives Birth to Baby Girl

Melanie Brown, better known as Mel B or Scary Spice of the Spice Girls, gave birth to a baby girl at 12:11am Monday in Santa Monica.

"The baby is completely healthy with a good head of hair. No name has been decided on yet, and she is purely known as Baby Brown," Brown's publicist said in a statement.

Mel B claims that comedian & actor Eddie Murphy is the father of 'Baby Brown', but Murphy disputes those claims.

This is Brown's second child. She has an 8 year old daughter Phoenix Chi, with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar.

Mel and Baby B are said to be well and resting comfortably.

It's too bad that the child wasn't born just one day later. It would be somewhat ironic being as it is Eddie Murphy's birthday today.
