Poem by Lǐ Bái

山中問答

問余何意棲碧山
笑而不答心自閑
桃花流水杳然去
別有天地非人間

Conversations in the mountains

You ask why I nestle in the green mountains.
I laugh but answer not - my heart is serene.
Peach blossoms and flowing waters go without
a trace. There is another Heaven and Earth
beyond the world of man.

Li Bai (李白), 8th century (source)
