Geri Halliwell asked old pals Victoria Beckham and George Michael's partner Kenny Goss to be godparents of her 11-month-old daughter Bluebell Madonna.

Victoria was thrilled to be asked to be godmother," a friend told The Sun, adding: "Although they fell out when Geri walked out on the Spice Girls years ago, they became really close friends again. Geri's relied on her old friend for advice on motherhood and is delighted Victoria is flying over."

According to the gossip site TMZ.com, some American Idol contestants are quickly becoming very close friends.

One unlikely pair is Sanjaya Malakar and Lakisha Jones. The two have a special bond and are supporting one another.

Lakisha has been encouraging Sanjaya to not care what others are saying about him at the moment and to believe in himself.

Blake and Chris R. have become close friends as well.

According to In Touch Weekly, Cameron Diaz gave Drew Barrymore a new watch, one that she had bought for ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.

It's a simple (heh) $12,000 vintage Rolex Oyster in 18-karat rose gold.

Cameron bought it for Justin's birthday in January. The case is engraved with the words, "I love you."

"Cameron didn't want the watch," the insider adds. And although Drew offered to buy it, Cameron gave it to her as a gift.

That must've been some good smoke!
